Con motivo del FICZONE 2013 (25-26 de mayo), se realizó una exposición entre el colectivo Autumn Society España y la Facultad de Bellas Artes con el título

HE-MAN Y LOS MASTERS DEL UNIVERSO

Ésta fue mi propuesta, y ha estado expuesta junto a la ilustración de TEELA de Irene Rodríguez. Podéis ver también la obra de Sara Vallecillos, Javier Jiménez y el resto de los artistas aquí.

To mark the FICZONE 2013 (May 25-26), there was a collective exhibition together with Autumn Society España and the University of Fine Arts under the title

HE-MAN Y LOS MASTERS DEL UNIVERSO

This was my proposal, and it has been exposed with the TEELA Illustration of Irene Rodriguez. You also can see the work of Sara Vallecillos, Javier Jiménez and the rest of the artists here.

SPIDER-MAN (SAMPLE PAGE)

Nueva página de muestra. En esta ocasión una de "SPIDER-MAN".
Ésta tiene también algún tiempo, pero aún estoy satisfecho con el color y con mi diseño del DOCTOR OCTOPUS.

New sample page. This time from "SPIDER-MAN". It also have some time, but I'm still satisfied with the color and with my design of DOCTOR OCTOPUS.

El proceso de trabajo comenzó con algunos bocetos rápidos que me ayudaron a decidir la composición de la página y el número de viñetas. Luego hice los lápices finales, que fueron escaneados para su posterior coloreado digital (Adobe Photoshop).

The work process began with some quick sketches that helped me to decide the composition of the page and the number of panels. Then I ended the pencils, which were scanned for a digital painting (Adobe Photoshop).

BATMAN (SAMPLE PAGES)

Finalmente me he decidido a subir las páginas de muestra que he realizado en los últimos años. A continuación os dejo las de "BATMAN", ya que a pesar de tener bastante tiempo y algunos problemas,  sigo estando contento con el color y el ambiente que conseguí.

Finally I decided to upload the sample pages I've done in recent years.
Then I show these pages of "BATMAN". In spite of having quite time and some problems, I'm still glad with the color and the environment that I got.

Para terminar, os dejo algunos de los bocetos que hice para definir el aspecto final del personaje. Batman es mi superhéroe favorito desde que era pequeño, así que disfruté mucho haciendo todo esto. Espero que os haya gustado, gracias por la visita.

To finish, I attached here some of the sketches I did to define the final look of the character. Batman is my favorite superhero since I was a child, so I really enjoyed doing this. I hope you liked it. Thanks for the visit.

RETRATO / PORTRAIT

"BALTHAZAR WORLD TOUR" es un retrato de familia por encargo. La idea del cliente era crear una imagen que los representase como una clásica banda de Rock, actuando en el escenario.

"BALTHAZAR WORLD TOUR" is a family portrait commissioned. The idea was to create an image which represent them as a classic rock band, performing on stage.

Las vestimentas, instrumentos y accesorios fueron todo elección del cliente.

Desde aquí les doy las gracias por permitirme colgar la ilustración.

The costumes, instruments and accessories were all chosen by the client.
From here I thank them for allowing me to upload the illustration.

TOMB RAIDER REBORN

Mi visión de la nueva LARA CROFT en "TOMB RAIDER REBORN".
He realizado esta ilustración para el concurso que organizan DeviantArt y Square Enix
con motivo del lanzamiento del último videojuego de la saga.

My vision of the new LARA CROFT in "TOMB RAIDER REBORN".
I made this illustration for the contest organized by DeviantArt y Square Enix
for the launch of the last game of the saga.

En esta ocasión todo el trabajo ha sido digital, desde el boceto previo hasta la pintura final.
He usado Adobe Photoshop CS6 y una tableta Wacom Cintiq 12wx. El acabado me llevó unas dos semanas de trabajo (con una media de cinco horas al día aproximadamente).
El tamaño original es de 3508 x 4961 pixels (300dpi).

This time all the work is digital, from the preliminary sketch to the final painting.
I used Adobe Photoshop CS6 and a Wacom Cintiq 12WX tablet.
The work has taken me about two weeks (with an average of five hours a day approx).
The original size is 3508 x 4961 pixels (300dpi).

I'M A GLITCH

El primer encargo del año ha sido esta ilustración del personaje de DISNEY, 
"VANELLOPE VON SCHWEETZ", a la que podéis haber visto las pasadas navidades en la película '¡ROMPE RALPH!' (Wreck-It Ralph,  2012).

Los errores que la imagen parece tener en realidad han sido dibujados expresamente en referencia al "efecto glitch" que el personaje sufre como error de programación.

No acostumbro a hacer ilustraciones de temática infantil y con tanto colorido, y la verdad es que me he divertido mucho trabajando en ésta. Haré más de este tipo en el futuro.
